Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Swallow the tablets with a full glass of water. Do not crush or chew the tablets.
The recommended starting dose for adults is 20 mg once daily, taken as needed, with or without food.
Nexium 24HR (esomeprazole) may be taken with or without food:The dose may be increased or decreased depending upon the response of the individual to the medicine.
